The Weekly Love List: A Modern ‘Something Blue’

The Weekly Love List: A Modern ‘Something Blue’

Each week, we ask the our D Weddings editors to share their current crushes—from skincare regimes, honeymoon destinations, or registry must-haves. Consider “The Weekly Love List” your D Weddings editor-approved wish list for before, during, and after wedding day.

Jimmy Choo Romy Crystal Embellished Pump Paired with Essie Find Me An Oasis Nail Polish

“I am not currently getting married, so in my dream world, it’s perfectly fine to spend nearly $1,000 on the perfect pair of Jimmy Choos. These Cinderella heels have that perfect, barely-there shade of blue—that’s almost closer to a grey or silver. A matching baby blue toenail polish underneath  (like Essie’s “Find Me an Oasis”) would do just right.”

—Sarah Bennett

Julie Cohn Design Callanish Earrnings

“I love these indigo earrings by Dallas designer Julie Cohn. A slightly bolder choice for bridal jewelry that would look so pretty with white.”

—Caitlin Clark

Balenciaga Runway Cat-Eye Shiny Sunglasses and Moncler Round Transparent Acetate Sunglasses

“Your future together is so bright…you’re gonna need these shades!”

—Jamie Laubhan-Oliver

The Volon Small Cindy Feather Bag

“On wedding day, you don’t need to carry much but you will need an emergency lipgloss stash. This feathered purse finishes a reception look in festive fashion.”

—Mary McMullen Welch

Anthropologie Cozy Oversized Scarf

I’m a sucker for scarves and wraps because a) I’m always cold and b) they’re pretty and drapey and feel more elegant than a jacket. I bought this one at Anthropologie and love it. It’s billed as a scarf but it’s sized more like a wrap. It’s so superduper soft and warm, and in person it’s the most beautiful, rich, jewel-toned—almost peacock—shade of blue. It would be beautiful wrapped around the shoulders of a fall bride.”

—Jessica Otte
