How to Make Your Wedding Your Own

How to Make Your Wedding Your Own

A real bride weighs in on how to let your personality shine through your day.

As an interior designer, Anastasia King lives to create unique, personality-infused spaces for people. So when it came to her wedding, she took the same approach. To really own your wedding and make sure it feels like you, she suggests concentrating on the small things. “Little details matter the most when it comes to events like this,” Anastasia says. “Not everyone will notice them, but for those who do, it will really make the difference.”

She also used a mood board to communicate the look she was going for to her vendors. “I Photoshopped elements of it to fit my vision and then took that picture and showed it to every vendor,” she says.

As an added detail, Anastasia had planned to hand-draw the cocktail menu, but she ran out of time. As a surprise, her two maids of honor drew it for her.
