The best place to start is looking through your list of invited guests and determining a rough estimate of how many will need accommodations. Once you have that number, it is time to look for hotels that are in close proximity to your ceremony or reception venue. This will help with transportation options for the big day!
Calling in directly to the hotels is a great way to connect with the sales team and see if you qualify for any specials that may be offered. Depending on the number of rooms per night you are in need of, the hotel may offer a complimentary suite for the wedding night or a farewell brunch to enhance your guests’ departure. If you live in the area, it is a great idea to set up a tour with the sales manager and see the property, as well as guest rooms, in person. This will also help you decide on a perfect arrangement for your bridal or groomsmen get ready room.
Now it is time to secure your guests’ accommodations! Depending on your number of rooms per night, some hotels are able to offer a courtesy style agreement.
